Muslims (those who submit to the will of God) perform ablution before prayer.
“Then David rose from the ground, WASHED (wudu) and anointed himself, and put on fresh clothes, he entered the house of the Lord and prostrated (Sujood) himself there” (Samuel 12:20)
“they shall wash their hands and feet so that they will not die. This is to be a lasting ordinance for Aaron and his descendants to come.”
(Exodus 30:21)
“and Moses and Aaron and his sons used it to wash their hands and feet.”
(Exodus 40:31)
The first position of prayer, Muslims lift up their hands palms out at the side of the head.

(Psalm 63:4)
Muslims while lifting up their hands proclaim: “Allahu Akbar” (God is Great)
“Great is the LORD, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, his holy mountain.” (Psalm 48:1)

DO you pray like the messengers of God have prayed?
We must realize that human beings chosen by God to bring Gods massage are the best of human beings.
To not follow their lead is illogical and arrogant.
Bow down and prostrate to God and ask for guidance. It is God, alone, who can guide us.
“And be steadfast in prayer; Practice regular charity; And bow down your hands With those who bow down.” (Holy Quran 2:45)
